2011

We've moved!

As from SUNDAY 12TH JUNE 2011, we meet at ST PHILIP'S CHURCH HALL in Wadgate Road, Felixstowe IP11 2LP (just off Mill Lane - click here for map).

This allows the builders unhindered access to their work on their major refurbishment of our usual premises in Cavendish Road. They expect to complete this project in March 2012, giving us a much more welcoming building, with more space.

A particular feature will be the large foyer separated from the main worship area by a glazed screen. Other improvements will be shown in a sketch plan of the building, which will be displayed here shortly.

The times of services and our other activities remain the same - just click on Regular Happenings.

You'll always find a welcome at Bethesda Baptist Church, wherever we're situated!

SEA OF FAITH

Bemused visitors to Felixstowe on Sunday 13th June 2010 witnessed the baptism of two young people from Bethesda Baptist Church

More than 100 people lined the promenade in Sea Road as Rev Peter Croft and church elder, Richard Adams, fought to stay on their feet in the surf as they lowered Lauren Woods and Neil Blundell in turn beneath the waves.

Earlier that morning, Lauren and Neil had explained to a packed church service in Cavendish Road, how they had recently become Christians. Having turned away from sin and put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they were responding to the Bible’s injunction to repent and be baptised.
